AT Internet Smart Tag

AT Internet is a leading provider of digital analytics and digital intelligence solutions.

The AT Internet push integration allows you to send the AB Tasty campaign data to AT Internet. AB Tasty campaign data is sent using the MV Testing JavaScript plugin that enables the measurement of different designs and content combinations for a single web page within AT Internet.

How to Set up the Integration

Installing AT Internet

To install AT Internet, please refer to this documentation.

Once your AT Internet Smart Tag is installed on your website, you should get these lines (see screenshot) when entering “ATinternet” in your console. If it is not the case, please contact the AT Internet / Piano support.

AT internet Smart Tag is now deprecated and not supported since August 2023. In agreement with the AT internet support, we strongly encourage you to migrate to the new Piano Analytics Solution (documentation here).

Enabling the integration in AB Tasty

Follow the steps below:

  1. Access Integrations > Integration Hub.
  2. Search for and select AT Internet Smart Tag.
  3. Click Setup connector.
  4. Give a name to your connector so you can easily retrieve it.
  5. Enter the Wave number.
  6. Click Save and create connector.

Dedicated Reports

All the waves sent can be found in the dedicated reports, in the Analyzer NX section of AT Internet. To access this section, click Ergonomics > Multivariate Testing.
Three different reports are available:

Tests

The Tests report lets you view the test names and the related metrics. If you cannot find the related metric, click “M” in the upper right-hand section of the table to select another.

Waves

The Waves report includes the number of waves assigned to each test, as well as the test name.

Creation

The Creation report includes the name of the variation as well as the related wave and the test name:

These reports enable you to make sure the data is forwarded correctly, but they do not enable in-depth analysis. For this purpose, we recommend applying segments to your reports, to filter them on a specific test or a variation.

Applying a Segment to a Report

There are two ways of creating a segment on a test.

Segmenting on a Test Name

To create a segment on the name of a test, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Segmentation section in the left-hand column and click Create.
  2. Select Content and drag over the Multivariate Testing criterion:

    The following screen appears:

  3. Double-click the test that interests you.
  4. Click OK.

You now have several options:

  • Click Use for single use.
  • Click Save your segment to use it again.

Segmenting on the Related Wave

To create a segment on a wave related to a test, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Segmentation section in the left-hand column and click Create.
  2. Select Content and drag over the Multivariate Testing criterion.
  3. Select Wave in the left-hand column.
  4. Click OK.

Once your segments are created, you can browse the reports and view the filtered data.

Implementing EmotionsAI Audience

AB Tasty gives you the possibility to export the EmotionsAI audience of the visitors by the time we push the campaign hit. Thanks to this information, you will be able to segment all visitors exposed to an AB Tasty campaign.

This is currently part of an EA program. Please contact your CSM to benefit from it.

Requirements

In AB tasty

You must activate EmotionsAI from your AB tasty account here

Without this activation, we are not able to send the EmotionsAI audience to AT Internet. For more information on how to activate EmotionsAI, please contact your CSM.

In the AT Internet dashboard

We want to send the EmotionsAI audience at the same time as the campaign hit, but it’s linked to a user.

That’s why you need to create a custom dimension as a user to retrieve this information.

  1. Click Admin and choose Settings Tab
  2. Click Data management
  3. Create a new property
  4. Complete the following information:
  • Display name: Enter a unique name for the dimension.
You can't use hyphens in the name, but you can use underscores and spaces instead. We recommend entering “Audience Emotion AI”
  • Description: Enter a memorable description for the custom dimension.
  • Property key: Please enter “audience_emotion_ai”
  • Categories: Choose User / Events / MV testing
  1. Click Save.

If your custom dimension is not set correctly, even if we’re sending the EmotionsAI audience, you won’t be able to retrieve it. We’re sending this information as a user property.

Sending data

Sometimes, the EmotionsAI audience is not set before the sending of the AB Tasty campaign hit. That’s why, even if you have activated the EmotionsAI audience, the value will be empty. Indeed, when a new visitor is coming to your website, the campaign hit is sent once AB Tasty is triggered; while 30 seconds are necessary to detect to which EmotionsAI audience the visitor belongs.

Here’s an example of the payload sent into AT internet Smart Tag with the EmotionsAI audience. The value is available inside up.audience_emotion_ai.
