List of Trigger criteria

In this article, you will find the list of all trigger criteria available inside AB Tasty.

A trigger is a temporary user condition that enables you to display your campaign in a specific context. The trigger enables the campaign to be displayed to the configured audience only when additional conditions are met.

Triggers are mostly based on current session conditions and behaviors.

The criteria are organized by type of trigger criteria in dedicated categories.

Device

  • Device: Restrict the visibility of a campaign to visitors based on the device they are using for their current session.
  • Screen size: Restrict the visibility of your campaign to visitors that use a certain type of screen.

Unique visitors

  • IP Address: Restrict a campaign’s visibility to visitors using the same specific IP address.
  • Geolocation: Restrict the visibility of a campaign to visitors based on their geographical location.
  • Weather: Test or personalize your visitors' experiences based on real-time weather data.

Source & pages

  • Landing Page: Trigger your campaign depending on which page your visitor landed during their visit on your website.
  • Source type: Trigger your campaign depending on the visitor origin type.
  • Previous page: Trigger your campaign based on a specific “previous page” URL.
  • Source: Triggers your campaign depending on the visitor origin.
  • URL Parameter: Restrict the visibility of a campaign to visitors depending on the composition of their URL parameter(s) when they visit your website.
  • Minimum Pages viewed: Trigger your campaign based on a specific number of pages viewed by your visitors.
  • Visited Pages: Trigger a campaign to visitors that have seen specific URLs at least a specific number of times during their current session.

Recurrence

  •  Same day visit: Trigger a campaign to visitors that have already visited your website at least once in the past 24 hours.

Browser

  • Browser language: Include or exclude the browser language used by the visitors for their current session.
  • Browser: Include or exclude the web browser used by visitors for their current session.
  • Adblocker: Include or exclude visitors who have an adblocker on their browser to trigger your campaign.

Expert

  • JS Variable: Verify a specific JS variable of your choice.
  • Code: Insert JavaScript code to trigger a campaign depending on the presence of a specific JS instruction.
  • CSS SelectorTrigger your campaign only when the loaded page contains an element linked to a specific ID or class.
  • DataLayer: Trigger a campaign to visitors that meet some events of your DataLayer.
