The new account name appears in the account drop-down in the navigation bar.

Using a secure connection with single sign-on (SSO)

For security reasons, your company may choose to use single sign-on (SSO). This is a unique authentication system that enables you to connect to several platforms using the same email address and password.

AB Tasty lets you implement SSO through SAML 2.0, an open-standard data format for exchanging authentication and authorization information. AB Tasty’s SSO feature allows you to secure your workspace and control your users’ access. All your team members can log in to AB Tasty using one set of sign-in credentials from existing authentication providers. SSO is an email-level feature that will apply across all projects and experiments.

When you use SSO, our platform automatically links AB Tasty to your professional portal.

Activating SSO in your AB Tasty account

  • You can configure an Identity Provider (IP) for the AB Tasty service
  • Your Identity Providers can communicate with AB Tasty – some Identity Providers are limited to internal communication, which blocks the use of SSO with AB Tasty
  • AB Tasty only manages SP-initiated SSO, so please ensure your Identity Provider is compatible

To continue the SSO integration process on your account, please contact your CSM or Key Account Manager who will send you all the required details. After you have provided the required information, our support team will verify the SSO integration. Once the verification is done, we will enable SSO for your account(s). Our support team will be in contact with you throughout the whole process.

Specific questions

How can I configure SSO?

Please contact your dedicated CSM or Key Account Manager to enable SSO on your account(s).

How long do SSO-based sessions last?

The SSO session will expire after 8 hours of inactivity.

How do I revoke a user’s access?

You can revoke a user’s access in the AB Tasty platform, here: In addition, you will need to revoke the user’s access in your Identity Provider, too.

Logging in using multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Activate the multi-factor authentication (MFA) functionality via your account settings to configure an additional level of security during the login process. The sending of an SMS makes sure that you are the right user.

You have two possibilities:

  • Activate MFA for your credentials only
  • Force the activation and usage of the MFA for all users using a specific AB Tasty account

Activate MFA

Activate MFA for Your Credentials Only

To activate MFA for your credentials only, follow the steps below:

  1. Access Settings > Profile > User Information and click the Enable Multi-Factor-Authentication CTA.
  2. Fill in your phone number.
You will receive a code by SMS.
  3. Enter the code in the appropriate field and click Verify.

You will then be asked to reconnect to the platform through the AB Tasty login page.

Once the configuration is complete, when logging in to the AB Tasty platform, follow these steps:

  1. Click Login in the credentials confirmation email or on the homepage of the AB Tasty website
  2. Enter your email address and password on the page that appears and click Login
  3. An authentication code is sent via text message to the mobile phone number you’ve previously configured – for more on this, see Personal information >Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code in the relevant field
  5. Click Verify and the test dashboard will be displayed

📎 Note: You can also check the Don’t ask me again for this device option if your device is fully secured and if you do not want to enter a code on this one specifically.

MFA is now active on your credentials.

Activate and Force MFA for All Your Account Users

For your whole team to use MFA to connect to your AB Tasty account, please follow the steps below:

  1. Activate MFA for yourself.
For further information, please refer to the section
Activate MFA for Your Credentials Only.
  2. Access Settings > Account Management > General information and flag the Enable Multi-Factor-Authentication option.

Good to know 💡

As the user who has activated and forced MFA for the account, you are the only one authorized to revoke MFA for the account. All other users will not be able to cancel the option by themselves.

All other users of your account will be asked to enter their MFA information (phone number) when they return to the platform. This is a necessary step to connect to the AB Tasty account.

If you own several accounts, you will see a lock being displayed next to accounts protected by MFA in the Change account dropdown which is available in the top right corner of the platform.

Requesting a new code

The 6-digit code must be used within 2 minutes of the text message being received. If necessary, click Resend to receive a new code.

Saving the device

When MFA is enabled, you can save the device used to log in to the platform. To do this, during the second verification step, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the 6-digit code in the relevant field
  2. Check Don’t ask for codes on this device
  3. Click Done

You will no longer receive verification codes for this device and will be able to log in with just your email and password. However, if you don’t log in for 15 consecutive days, two-step authentication will be re-enabled and you will once again be able to receive a verification code.
