Previous step: Creating a server-side test
This article details the configuration of the number of variations and the traffic allocated to each variation.
Once the test has been created, you need to configure the number and names of your test variations. By default, two variations are available in the interface to enable you to run an A/B test. One of the variations represents your original page, and the subsequent one(s) represent(s) your variants. These two variations cannot be deleted.
To implement an A/B/C/... test, create additional variations.
The variation content is described directly in the source code of the website or the mobile application.
Configuring a variation
To configure a variation, apply the following steps:
- Name your variation in the Variations name field and add a description if necessary.
- Specify the traffic percentage to be allocated to the variation.
By default, the traffic is divided equally between the two existing variations.
For more information, refer to Configuring traffic allocation.
Adding a variation
To configure several variations, click Add variation and proceed as detailed in the Configuring a variation step.
You can add as many variations as you want. Each time you add a variation, you need to adjust the traffic allocation percentage accordingly.
Deleting a variation
If you have created more than two variations and you want to delete one, click the to the left of it.
There will always be two default variations that cannot be deleted.
