If you use Iframes on pages on your site, AB Tasty gives you the option to track the clicks on them.
Tracking clicks on Iframes require a separate procedure: you cannot do it directly in WYSIWYG.
Here's the procedure to follow:
- You have to install the AB Tasty tag in the Iframe URL so that we can track the clicks on it.
- Your Iframe URL domain must be the same as that of your page.
|If the domain is different, you need to set up cross-domain tracking.|
To set up cross-domain tracking, in the Dashboard click Settings on the left-hand menu, then Settings>Tracking>Cross domain tracking.
In "Cross-domain tracking", you just need to add a URL pattern as a setting for pages hosted in other domains. Then click "Add" and confirm your change.
Once these steps have been completed, there are two ways of setting up click tracking in an Iframe:
1 - You can go the editor and install, via the Widget library, the Click on Iframe plugin .
You then have to select your Iframe and confirm.
2- You can set up click tracking directly in the form of code (jQuery). For more information, please read the detailed article on this subject.
After starting your test, you'll see the Iframe clicks appear in your report, under the objective name that you entered when setting up click tracking.
