By default, the AB Tasty report interface is meant to be simple and easy to understand so you can access your tests’ key indicators quickly. But behind this ease of use hides a wealth of features: in particular through the ability to filter your data by segments (ex: source of traffic, geographical origin of your visitors, type of clients, etc.).
So it is possible to highlight sub-populations of visitors for whom one of the variations statistically outperforms the original, even if the test appears to be inconclusive on a global level (all visitors combined).
You can filter your results at the global level (i.e., for all the objectives at once) or for one particular objective.
To filter all of your objectives with just one click, select a dimension in the drop down menu, as indicated below. The data are recalculated to include only the visitors who correspond to your segment.
Depending on your choice, you may be asked to add further details to your selection, as shown below with the Date dimension:
You can add other dimensions with the "+" button, and delete them with the "-" button.
This ability to read the results by segment should not make you forget the principles of statistic reliability. If a test is reliable for all the visitors, it may not necessarily be the case of a narrow sample restricted to a given segment. You have to verify the reliability of your test for the given sample. As soon as you filter your results, we automatically recalculate this index.
You may also filter a specific objective by clicking on the gear-shaped icon . A new window will pop up to allow you to configure your filters.
