The impact of BigQuery exports in terms of cost

As part of our reporting needs, it is essential to send specific events to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to ensure accurate tracking of user interactions. These events include:

  • The display of a recommendation block.
  • A click on a product within the block.
  • Adding a product from the block to the cart.
  • Assigning a visitor to a group as part of an A/B test.

These events are collected in GA4 and automatically exported to BigQuery once a day to enable advanced analytics and customized data processing. However, this export may incur additional costs, particularly related to the volume of data processed and stored in BigQuery.
