Exceptions

Exceptions enable you to fine-tune your merchandising or product blocks by applying specific rules under certain conditions. This allows for more personalised and dynamic outcomes tailored to your business goals.


Define a "When" Trigger:

The exception is activated when a specified trigger occurs.
Click on the ‘When’ button to select and configure the trigger parameters.

Set the Exception Conditions:

After selecting the trigger, define the conditions for the exception.
These conditions can include changes to the:

  • Algorithm: Select a different algorithm to be applied when the trigger is activated.
  • Filters: Adjust filters to refine the product selection further.

Example Configuration
Scenario: You want to apply a different algorithm when a category = auto/moto
Action:
Set the trigger: category = auto/moto
Configure the exception: Replace the default algorithm with the ‘Best sales (14days)’ algorithm.
Result: For auto/moto category, the merchandisng will display products based on the ‘Best sales (14days)’ algorithm instead of the previously configured logic.

Push your merchandising

After highlighting products, click the ‘Deploy changes’ button to ensure your changes are applied.

On the top-right header, you can get the emerch ID to call in your website if you need it

Preview the merchandising

At any point, go to the bottom to visualise the results of your changes.
Use the preview to ensure the merchandising meets your expectations.

  • Category: define category which are concern by the merchandising.
  • Products groups: Specify the groups of products to include in the merchandising.
  • Filters: Apply filters to refine the product selection based on criteria like price, category, or stock.
  • Products highlight: Pin specific products to feature them prominently in the merchandising.
  • Result to refine: Preview of your merchandising.
