The AB Tasty Recommendation & Merchandising interface allows you to test your recommendation settings by sending a test email to an address from your mailing list. This feature ensures that your configuration works as expected before launching your email campaign.
How to Send a Test Email
Locate the Test Email Field:
- In the interface, find the field dedicated to sending test emails.
Enter a Test Email Address:
- Input the email address where you would like to send the test.
- The address should be part of your mailing list to ensure accurate testing of personalisation features.
Send the Test Email:
- Click the ‘Send’ button to dispatch the test email.
- Verifying the Test Results
- Check the test email in the recipient inbox to ensure the following:
The recommendation content is displayed correctly.
Any personalisation elements (e.g., product highlights, filters, or exceptions) are applied as intended.
The overall layout and design of the email align with your expectations.
If any adjustments are needed, revisit the configuration options and refine your settings.
Additional Configuration Options
Before finalising your recommendation, consider reviewing and optimising the following sections:
- Brevo Feed: Ensure the feed from Brevo is correctly linked to the recommendation.
- Product Groups: Define groups of products to include in the recommendation.
- Filters: Apply filters to refine the selection of recommended products.
- Product Highlights: Highlight specific products within the recommendation.
- Exceptions: Exclude certain products or categories as needed.
- Options: Set additional options to customise the behaviour of your recommendation.
- Parameters: Configure advanced parameters for more granular control.
Save Your Configuration
After making adjustments, click the ‘Save’ button to ensure all changes are applied.
Preview Your Recommendation
Use the ‘Preview’ button in the top-right corner to verify how the recommendation will appear to recipients.
