This page is intended for customers who do not have the recommendation builder. If you have the recommendation builder, you can consult this page.
Before setting up your first recommendation, ensure the following prerequisites are completed:
CMS Integration: Verify that your CMS is properly connected to the platform.
Analytics Integration: Ensure your analytics tool is successfully integrated.
Step 1: Access the Recommendations Tab
If everything is set up, navigate to the ‘Mail Recommendations’ tab in the left-hand menu.
If your tools have been connected correctly, this page will allow you to start configuring your first recommendation.
Troubleshooting Integration Issues
If you see a message indicating that the integration procedure has not worked:
- Double-check your CMS and analytics integration settings.
- Ensure all provided credentials are valid and correctly entered.
- If the issue persists, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for assistance.
Step 2: Create a New Recommendation
- Click on the ‘Create a New Recommendation’ button.
- You will be redirected to the configuration page.
Step 3: Name Your Recommendation
At the top of the configuration page, click on the bold title to rename your recommendation.
Choose a clear and descriptive name that will help you identify the recommendation later.
Configuring Parameters
To create a recommendation, you need to define several key parameters. While not all parameters are mandatory, the more detailed your configuration, the better the results.
Here are the main parameters you can configure:
- Brevo Feed: Ensure the feed from Brevo is correctly linked to the recommendation.
- Product Groups: Define groups of products to include in the recommendation.
- Filters: Apply filters to refine the selection of recommended products.
- Product Highlights: Highlight specific products within the recommendation.
- Exceptions: Exclude certain products or categories as needed.
- Options: Set additional options to customise the behaviour of your recommendation.
- Parameters: Configure advanced parameters for more granular control.
- Preview: Check how the recommendation will appear to your audience.

Step 4: Save Your Recommendation
Once all parameters are set, click on the ‘Save’ button to ensure your configuration is stored.
Step 5: Preview the Result
Before finalising, click on the ‘Preview’ button in the top-right corner to see how your recommendation will look in real-world scenarios.

- Taking the time to fully configure each parameter will enhance the relevance and effectiveness of your recommendations.
