AB Tasty for App allows you to modify the appearance of your mobile app without having to edit the code or recompile it.
When setting up an A/B test you will modify some visual elements of your app, submit them to some of your users and compare their behaviour in relation to the original version so you can assess the impact.
Create a new test
- Log in to AB Tasty for App at: http://mobile.abtasty.com.
- On the dashboard, click Create, then Create an experiment
- Enter a name
- Select the A/B option then click Validate
- Connect your device to your user account

Your app's display is shown in the Web editor.
You can start to modify the appearance of your app.
Delete a test
If you want to delete a test, please do the following:
- Go to the dashboard.
- Select the test to delete from the list.
- Click on the symbol .
A confirmation message will appear.
This action cannot be reversed.
Create your variations
The Web editor is the graphic interface that gives you a visual representation of your app and allows you to modify its appearance. You can create one or more new versions of your apps containing your modifications. These are called variations.
By default, when you create a test, the following elements are displayed:
- The Original button allows you to view the original version of your app and cannot be modified.
- The Variation1 button allows you to view the modified version of your app.
When you click on the arrow, the menu that appears contains options applicable to the variation.

Set traffic modulation
You can set the proportion of users who will be directed to the original version of your app or the variation.
- Open your A/B test.
- Click the traffic allocation symbol.
The percentage of the split between the original and the variation will be displayed.
By default, the proportion is automatically set at 50/50 between the original and variation 1.
If you create multiple variations, the percentage between the original and the different variations will always be split equally.
